Katelyn started her marketing career in tech then moved to the nonprofit sector to focus on mission-driven marketing.
After having her first daughter (now has two!), she started her consultancy for more flexibility and freedom.
Her strengths are digital strategy, project management, fundraising, and email marketing.
If you want to give the highest quality of service that you want to give, make sure to give from the overflow and not from the depths of the well.
Because if you give from the depths, you’ll be full of resentment and will eventually burn out.
Email marketing has the highest ROI. Also, with email marketing, you own your list, as opposed to marketing on social media websites. If Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram went down tomorrow, you’ll lose most of the people you’ve connected with.
Provide as much value as you can with the email that you give out to your list. Don’t let the intention behind it be selling something to the person because they will feel that energy when they open your email.
Don’t be afraid to automate your email. Use nurture sequences to make people feel like they belong to a community.
Trying to find ways to integrate your life with your work and have work-life harmony - that's something that I think is truly important for everybody.
The reason why I love email, and there's multiple reasons, but it has the highest ROI.
As long as you're providing something that is valuable, and telling a story and showing impact. There shouldn't be that fear behind that.
